A man has been jailed after approaching women and asking for sexual acts.
Paul Williams, of Lowther Avenue, Aintree, was caught by police after CCTV footage showed him acting suspiciously towards women in Coronation park, in Ormskirk. Police were called to the area after a number of reports were made that a man was asking women for sexual acts.
Officers were able to match the suspects description to Williams and he was taken into custody. Later footage showed the 52-year-old going up to women in the park and town centre of Ormskirk.

Police have now confirmed that on May 27, Williams was sentenced at Preston Magistrates court for Public Order offences and was sentenced to 6 weeks in prison. A spokesperson for the force said: "After neighbourhood officers who were on proactive targeted patrolling of the park area encountered Williams and matched his appearance to the description provided by the victims.
"Williams was subsequently detained by the Neighbourhood Officers who also carried out extensive CCTV enquiries which revealed footage of Williams approaching females in the park and town centre of Ormskirk, where he was alleged to have asked for sexual acts. The CCTV evidence and the accounts provided by the victims of Williams behaviour ensured a successful prosecution."
