A man fled to Breeze Hill flyover after a woman was stabbed inside a property.
Police were called to Bedford Road in Walton at around 12.20pm on Monday over reports that a woman had been stabbed inside a house. A man fled the scene and was later arrested on the flyover in Breeze Hill.
Eyewitnesses at the scene said they saw two ambulances and around 10 police cars on the flyover. The eyewitness claims they also saw the man with two dogs on a lead and carrying what they believe was a "large machete".

Members of the public called the police and an officer reportedly tried to talk the man down for around 40 minutes. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said a 35-year-old man from Walton was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article.
The woman was taken to hospital, however the extent of her injuries are unknown.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We have arrested a 35-year-old man from Walton on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article following an incident on Bedford Road earlier today (Monday, January 16).
"At around 12.20pm, we received a report that a woman had sustained stab wounds inside a property. The suspect has then fled the scene and was later arrested on the flyover on Breeze Hill.
"The victim has been taken to hospital for assessment to her injuries."
