Man arrested in connection with series of housebreakings across Tayside

A man has been arrested in connection with a series of break-ins across Tayside.

The 25-year-old was charged in relation to multiple incidents in Dundee, Birkhill and Broughty ferry.

The properties affected include a garage in Dalhousie Road, two take-away restaurants in Campfield Square and three lock-ups in Castle Street, Broughty Ferry.

Also on the list was a garage in Raglan Street, Dundee and a business premises in Birkhill.

The man was due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today.

Inspector Christopher Boath said: “I’d like to thank members of the public for their support and co-operation throughout this investigation, they can be assured that any criminal activity ongoing in our communities will be dealt with.”
