A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection to the killing of Eddie Hutch,
Eddie Hutch was shot on Popular Row in Ballybough on February 8, 2016. Hutch, who was an innocent taxi driver, was the brother of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch.
His killing in 2016 is believed to have been in retaliation for the infamous shooting at the Regency Hotel where Kinahan Cartel Lieutenant David Byrne was shot dead. Gerry "The Monk" Hutch was recently acquitted by the Special Criminal Court for the murder of David Byrne. The arrested man is currently being held at a north Dublin Garda Station.

A garda spokesman said: "A man in his 40s was arrested today in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in his 50s which occurred on Poplar Row in Dublin 3 on 8th, February 2016. The man is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 at a Garda Station in North Dublin."
