Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the death of a Livingston man in November.
Blair Gault, 32, was found injured on a footpath in the Lothian town late last year.
Despite the efforts of mercy crews who rushed to the scene the 32-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of Tuesday, November 16.
Police Scotland's major investigation team (MIT) launched a major investigation shortly afterwards and has since conducted extensive enquiries into Blair's death.
Residents were warned to expect a "significant presence" of officers in the local area for a short period while inquiries into the death were carried out.
A police spokesperson said: "A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of 32-year-old Blair Gault in Livingston on Tuesday, 16 November, 2021.
"Police enquiries are continuing."
Today's arrest brings the number of people considered persons of interest by investigators to date to five.
Two men, aged 51 and 33, and two women, 52 and 54, were arrested last month in connection with the investigation, but it is unclear whether they remain a focus of police enquiries.
