A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Erskine.
A 36-year-old male was wounded in the alleged attack and was transported to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment.
Police descended on a property in the town on Saturday afternoon following reports of serious assault.
A property in the North Barr Avenue area was taped up while police investigated.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5pm on Saturday, April 8, police were called to the North Barr area of Erskine, following a report of a serious assault.
"A 36-year-old man was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
"A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 11 April 2023.
"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
