A man has been arrested and charged after drugs and cash were found during a raid in Finglas earlier today.
The seizure made as part of Operation Tara saw cannabis with a value of €140k seized along with €10k in cash. The search by the Divisional Drugs Unit at Finglas Garda Station targeted a residential home.
A man in his mid 30s was later arrested and detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The man has since been charged and is expected to appear before Blanchardstown District Court tomorrow morning at 10.30am.

According to gardai Operation Tara is an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy which was launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris on 2nd July 2021. The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels - international, national, local - involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
