A man, 51, has been arrested and released pending further enquiry after a woman was left fighting for her life following an alleged hit and run.
Emergency services rushed to Bell Street near to the junction with Parsonage Square, in Glasgow, around 11.50pm on Saturday, following reports of a woman, 32, being hit by a car.
The woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the incident where she remains in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 51-year-old man has been arrested and released pending further enquiry after a woman was hit by a car in Glasgow.
"The incident happened around 11.50pm on Saturday, 10 June, 2023, on Bell Street near to the junction with Parsonage Square.
"A 32-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she remains.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
