Gardai have launched an investigation after a woman was allegedly stabbed at a pub in Waterford on Tuesday.
The incident allegedly happened at a pub just off Broad Street in Waterford City at approximately 7.15pm. Gardaí initially responded to reports of an assault.
When gardai were called to Broad Street, they discovered a woman with "an apparent stab wound."

In a statement to the Irish Mirror, they said: "A woman (30s) received an apparent stab wound and was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment for her injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening."
Officers also arrested a man in his 20s at the scene and he is currently being detained at Waterford Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardaí are appealing to members of the public who may have mobile phone footage of the incident to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
They said investigations are ongoing.
