A man was arrested after gardai found a large amount of drugs in a vehicle in Dublin.
The discovery was made after officers stopped a vehicle in the Clondalkin today as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised criminal activity. A total of 43kg of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €860,000 were seized.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene and he is currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

A garda spokeswoman confirmed investigations are ongoing. The joint operation was carried out by gardai from GNDOCB and the Special Crime Task Force as part of Operation Tara which targets organised drug crime.
