A flight was forced to land at Manchester Airport after an issue with a passenger.
The Lufthansa plane was flying from Munich in Germany to Chicago in the United States on Monday, May 16. However, the flight was forced to divert before leaving Europe due to an issue with a passenger onboard, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The flight turned around above Ireland shortly before 5pm. It then made its way to Manchester Airport, where it landed at 5.53pm. The aircraft was met by Greater Manchester Police following the diversion.

A spokesperson for the force said a man was arrested at 6.15pm on suspicion of being drunk on an aircraft. He was taken to custody before being released with no further action.
It's understood the man was sent back on the next available flight from Manchester following his arrest. Lufthansa has been approached for comment.
