A man has been arrested after a dead body was found in a home in Orkney.
Emergency services responded to reports of an injured man at Marengo Road at around 7.35am on Sunday, June 19.
Despite their best efforts, the 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland have since confirmed that a 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
They also added that enquiries to establish the full nature of the death remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a property on Marengo Road, Orkney around 7.35am on Sunday 19 June 2022, to a report of a man injured.
“A 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
