A 27-year-old man will appear in court today after allegedly threatening his former partner with a machete in Morisset on Friday night.
At about 7pm on Friday, September 6 September, the man allegedly broke into the Bridge Street residence and threatened to kill his former partner while armed with the machete.
The man allegedly fled the scene when the victim contacted police, but he was located a short time later by officers from Lake Macquarie Police District at a separate address in Morisset.
He has been charged with breaching an Apprehended Violence Order, one count of aggravated break and enter, two counts of intimidation and one count of armed with Intent.
He has been refused bail and will appear in Toronto Local Court on Monday, September 9.
