Man applauded for 'petty revenge' he took on plane passenger with smelly feet

A man has been praised for the 'petty revenge' he took on a plane passenger who removed his shoes mid flight, forcing everyone in the cabin to smell his "stinky feet" until they landed. He explained how he was travelling from Pittsburgh to San Francisco when the man sat next to him decided to remove his shoes for comfort.

However when doing so, he unleased the "hot foot juice" he'd been cooking up since checking in and going through customs. The man said: "As he wedged his sweaty frame into the centre seat next to my aisle seat, I knew it was going to be a long flight. Then, he took off his shoes. I'm not going to say it was the worst stink, but it was hot foot juice none the less. I should have said something right away, but chose to sit there and brood."

He started to brainstorm ways to get his point across without sounding rude - but ended up employing extreme tactics.

"Several hours into the flight, I noticed he was sleeping - inspiration struck," he added.

"I reached under his seat and was able to get one out (by the shoe string I should add). I then carried his solo shoe all the way to the back of the plane and put it in an overhead."

When the pilot announced their descent, the passenger woke up and started frantically searching under his seat for his missing shoe.

All the while, the man tried his very best not to start laughing.

He added on Reddit: "We were starting our descent, stank toes began to wake. I could see him feeling around with his foot for his missing shoe.

"He did that awkward half bend trying to feel with his hands. Then he asked everyone around him to look.

"He was getting more and more panicked by the minute. I assured him it must have slid forward or backward and it would turn up.

"As I was exiting the plane, I had a brief conversation with the flight attendant. All I said was there is a guy sat in 2C who is missing a shoe.

"After everyone is off, look in the overhead in the back left side of the plane. She realised what was happening and smiled.

"I sat outside the plane waiting for him to exit. Dead last. Hope he learned a lesson."

While most people couldn't help but laugh at his revenge, others said they'll keep this in mind next time they're on a plane with someone who decides to take their shoes off.

One user said: "I need to remember this if I get the same chance.

"Bare feet wedged into the row before them is talked about so frequently, how isolated do you have to be to not know this disgusts others.

"I know, some people absolutely don’t care. They suck. Your story gave me a good chuckle."

Another user added: "As every good airline passenger knows, you never take off your shoes because you might not be able to get back into them again when the flight ends."

A third user added: "Every time I've had a foot stuck through the arm rests on my flights, I just sneeze.

"They can't complain because then they'd have to admit they were putting their feet through the seats.

"The yuck factor takes care of that issue quickly."
