A man and a woman were killed after a Manhattan subway train struck them while they were sitting on the tracks early on Sunday morning, with footage of the incident later circulating widely online.
The pair were hit by a southbound No. 4 train near the Spring Street station in Lower Manhattan at about 3.15am on 13 September, according to police. Both victims were pronounced dead, while authorities continued investigating the circumstances that led them on to the tracks.
