A man has appeared in court after an alleged hammer attack on a couple at their home.
Christopher Orr, 31, appeared at Buncrana District Court charged with three counts of assault, two charges of possession of an offensive weapon and trespassing.
It followed an incident in which two people were attacked with a hammer at Glenard Park in Letterkenny, Donegal, on Monday night.

The couple were at home around 7.55pm when a man entered the house.
A woman in her 40s and a man in his 20s were injured during the incident.
Following report of the incident, Gardaí located the male a short time later. He was arrested and taken to Letterkenny Garda Station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Christopher Orr of Cullion Road, appeared at Buncrana Court just after 10.30am.
Garda Sean McDaid said Gardai had no objection to bail but did ask Judge Éiteáin Cunningham for a number of conditions.
They include that Orr stay away from the two named individuals, do not go near Glenard Park, provide Gardai with a mobile phone number and sign on three times a week at Letterkenny Garda Station.
Solicitor Michael Shiel said his client had no issue complying with all conditions.
Legal aid was also granted to Orr in the case.
Judge Cunningham granted bail on Orr’s own bond of €200 and adjourned the case until May 8th to Letterkenny District Court to get directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
