A man and young girl were hit by a car that mounted a pavement in Shirebrook before speeding off. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the incident in Slant Lane.
The incident happened at around 9.20pm on September 16 and involved a car believed to be a white Vauxhall Astra. Police said it struck a 25-year-old man and six-year-old girl.
The car then reportedly drove off from the scene "at speed". The man and girl were taken to hospital for treatment but police say their injuries were not life changing or threatening.

Derbyshire Police said: "Anyone in the area that witnessed the incident or saw a similar vehicle is asked to contact us. We are particularly keen to receive dash cam footage of the incident.
