A man has been arrested after a three-hour stand-off in Adelaide's north on Tuesday night.
SA Police said patrols were called to Robert Street in Blair Athol about 8:45pm, after receiving reports of a man running through backyards and onto the roof of a house.
"The man has allegedly thrown roof tiles at police, hitting a patrol car. However, no officers were injured," Senior Constable Kirby Morley told ABC Radio Adelaide's Nikolai Beilharz.
Senior Constable Morley said STAR Group officers and negotiators were called to the scene after the man refused to come down from the roof and was seen jumping across to neighbouring properties.
The man was allegedly armed with a knife.
Senior Constable Morley said the man came down just before midnight and was arrested.
She said the 32-year-old Port Lincoln man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for a mental health assessment.
Police said the man will face numerous charges relating to unlawfully being on premises, property damage, assaulting police and unlawful possession.
