A man was airlifted to hospital after having a suspected heart attack while on a tall ship at sea near the Inner Hebrides.
Tobermory RNLI were alerted shortly after 10am on Sunday July 3 and The Elizabeth Fairlie Ramsey vessel was launched.
The all-weather lifeboat made its way to the 32-metre ship anchored to Ulva, off the Isle of Mull’s west coast.
A Coastguard helicopter from Prestwick, Rescue 199, arrived shortly before the RNLI crew.
The casualty was transferred into the helicopter to go to hospital, while the lifeboat returned to Tobermory.
His condition is not yet known.
An HM Coastguard spokesperson said: "On Sunday 3 July at about 10am, the Search and Rescue helicopter from the Prestwick base assisted the Scottish Ambulance Service with the evacuation of a casualty from a sailing vessel approx. 80 nm from Prestwick.
"The casualty was winched to the helicopter and transported to Oban Airfield for transfer to a land ambulance."
