Jamie Garwood, of Lincoln Court, Caerleon, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday where he formally entered a guilty plea to a charge of manslaughter. The 34-year-old's sentencing has been adjourned until February 3 next year.
The Recorder of Cardiff Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke told the defendant she would order a pre sentence report. She said Garwood would be receiving a custodial sentence and the report would assist in the determining the length of the sentence.
