"He was wearing the outfit pictured, a black woolly hat, brown Barbour jacket, red jumper, blue jeans black shoes and he was carrying a black backpack.

"Alistair could be anywhere nationwide so please share this post."

There had been no further updates from Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) regarding the status of Alistair until yesterday, when an updated appeal was posted on Facebook claiming Alistair was seen near a Tesco in Southport on Tuesday, January 11.

In the Facebook appeal, Police South Belfast wrote: "We are continuing to look for Alistair Adair who it is now believed was last seen near a Tesco in the Southport area of England at around 3.30am on Tuesday 11th January.

"It would be asked that Alistair contact the PSNI to confirm his whereabouts and wellbeing."

If anybody has any information regarding to the whereabouts of Alistair, they are asked to contact the PSNI to confirm his location and wellbeing.
