Police are investigating an alleged assault which left a man with head injuries in the centre of Swansea. The incident happened in Kingsway in the city early on Sunday morning.
A 49-year-old man was found injured near the Potters Wheel pub, while people have reported seeing a man being assaulted outside the YMCA building, a short distance away. You can keep up to date with the latest Swansea news by signing up to the local newsletter here.
Police are now appealing for information, having already had descriptions of two men in the area at the time of the assault, one of whom was thought to be holding a crow bar.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “We are investigating an incident in Swansea city centre. A 49-year-old man was found with a head injury close to The Potters Wheel, Kingsway, at around 5.30am on Sunday (July 10).
“Witnesses have described seeing a man being assaulted outside the nearby YMCA. Police are trying to trace two men who were in the area at the time. They are described as aged 30 to 35.
“One of them was carrying what has been described as a crow bar. They walked in the direction of Page Street. Anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police quoting reference number 229997.
