A man has died following a fatal road traffic collision in Co Meath on Monday morning.
Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene on Patrick Street in Trim at around 1.55am.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, was rushed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown after his vehicle collided with a wall.

He later passed away.
The car involved had come to the attention of gardai prior to the incident so An Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) has been notified.
The scene of the crash remains closed this afternoon while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai in Trim are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
“Any person who was in the vicinity of Patrick Street between 1.30am and 2.00am this morning, including any road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam), is asked to get in touch.
“Anyone with any information in relation to this incident should contact Trim Garda Station on 046 948 1540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
“Investigations are ongoing.
“As the car involved in this collision had come to the attention of Gardaí prior to the incident, An Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) have been notified.”
