A 40-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a teenager in south-east London.
Tafari Thompson-Mintah, 16, was riding his moped in Orpington, when he was involved in a fatal collision last Monday afternoon.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
Joseph Barnes, 40, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder. On Saturday he was charged with Tafari’s murder, the Metropolitan police said.
Barnes, of no fixed abode, is due to appear in custody at Bromley magistrates court on Monday.
Tafari’s family had been updated and continued to be supported by officers, the Met said.
