A man who was found dead at Southport Pier has been named by those who knew him.
On Monday, October, 24 , the body of a 32-year-old man was found at around 8.40am and his death is currently being treated as "unexplained". He has now been named as Samuel Latham.
At the time, The Marine Way Bridge was cordoned off in both directions while police dealt with the incident. A Just Giving Page has now been set up to help raise money for his funeral.

Samuel from Southport has been described as a "big friendly giant" with a "heart of gold" and tributes have come flooding in for the former KGV student.
The Just Giving Page said: "I remember Sam as being strong and harmless with a heart of gold and a cheeky sense of humour. Sam had a big booming laugh and although he had some demons he was a big friendly giant."
