A man has died after being injured in a disturbance outside a shopping centre in Cumbernauld.
Police were called to Abronhill Shopping Centre on Pine Road around 4.40pm on Monday.
A 27-year-old man, who was seriously injured in the incident, was later found a property on Larch Court where he was sadly pronounced dead.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.
We reported yesterday how the shopping centre was closed by police following the disturbance.
A takeaway based in the shopping centre said on social media that it had been asked to close while investigations into the incident were carried out by detectives.
Spice of Life Abronhill said: "Due to police having to cordon off the area in Abronhill, the shopping centre and anything within 2 miles of it has been shut due to police investigation over an incident outside the Roland's Pharmacy Abronhill."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a 27-year-old man who suffered a serious injury in a disturbance outside the Abronhill Shopping Centre on Pine Road in Cumbernauld around 4.40pm on Monday, 14 February.
“He was pronounced dead a short time later at a property on Larch Court.
“A 15-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.”
