Man, 25, who died in crash on way home from Mother's Day celebrations named

A man who died in a crash on Mother's Day has been named as Oliver Fitchett.

The 25-year-old, from Old Swan, died at the scene of the crash on Speke Boulevard, at around 11.40pm on Sunday, March 19. A family friend, on behalf of the family, told the ECHO that the "promising" young chef, known lovingly as Ollie, had been on his way back from celebrating Mother's Day.

Ollie, who worked in Liverpool restaurant the Art School, had been driving a blue Ford Focus. The family friend said Ollie was driving home, after dropping members of his family off, when he was involved in the crash.
