Man, 22, released on bail after suspected arson attack at Cabot Circus

A 22-year-old man has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue into a suspected arson at Cabot Circus.

Police arrested a man in connection with an incident at the shopping centre in Bristol city centre. Toilets in the centre were set alight on Monday (August 21).

Luckily, fire crews from Bedminster Fire Station were able to put out the fire.

Avon and Somerset Police released a statement saying: "Officers investigating a fire in the toilets of Cabot Circus shopping centre yesterday (Sunday 21 August) have arrested a man on suspicion of arson.

"The man, aged in his twenties, remains in police custody and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
