Man, 21, who popped out for Tesco food shop vanished a week ago, police say

Missing Samuel, 21, from Ealing, west London - (Metropolitan Police)

Detectives are urgently searching for a vulnerable west London man who left home to buy food.

Samuel, 21 - whose surname is being withheld - has not been seen or heard from since December 16 and officers are “increasingly concerned”.

He left his family home in Ealing to go for a walk carrying a skateboard and backpack, the Metropolitan Police said.

Samuel, who is 6ft and of medium build, is known to have visited Greenford Broadway station around 7.40pm.

Further police enquiries suggest that at 11.45pm the same evening, he went to a Tesco superstore on Old Western Avenue, Greenford.

Samuel is known to frequent high streets in Greenford, Sudbury Hill and Harrow.

Detective Sergeant Gary Walker, from the Met’s Missing Persons Unit, said: “It has now been one week since Samuel was last seen and we are increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“Samuel is particularly vulnerable as he takes medication daily, and without it his health could be significantly impacted.

“We are asking anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to contact us immediately.”

Under national guidance adopted by the Met but not all forces, appeals for vulnerable missing people are restricted to the first names only to protect future privacy and reduce their long-term digital footprint.

Anyone with information about Samuel’s whereabouts, can call police via 999, quoting CAD 6613/19DEC.
