A young man has died in a horror crash between a car and a lorry in County Cavan this evening.
The driver of the car, a male aged in his 20s, died in the fatal collision that happened just before 5pm on Thursday.
The crash happened on the N3 at New Inns in Ballyjamesduff. The road is currently closed and expected to remain closed overnight as forensic investigators were called in.

The lorry driver was not injured in the crash and there were no other passengers involved.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who had been travelling on the N3 at New Inns between 4.30pm and 5.15pm
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry that occurred shortly before 5pm on Thursday 4th May 2023 on the N3 at New Inns, Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan.
"The driver and sole occupant of the car involved (male, 20s) was fatally injured during the course of this collision.
"No other serious injuries to persons was reported.
"The N3 at New Inns is currently closed and is expected to remain closed overnight. Local diversions are in place. The services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested."
