Mamata Banerjee remembers those killed in Nandigram police firing incident

Asserting that her government is extending all support to enhance farm production, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said the State observes March 14 as ‘Krishak Dibas’ in remembrance of those killed in police firing on this day during an anti-land acquisition stir in Nandigram in 2007.

She also claimed West Bengal is among the top agricultural producers in the country and the income of farmers in the State has "increased by more than three times” during the TMC's rule.
