NAGPUR: Malvika Bansod kept her cool in the crunch moments to survive a late surge from Bengaluru's Tanya Hemanth and seal her place in the semifinals of the Odisha Open at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack on Friday.
The left-handed Nagpur shuttler used all her experience to register a hard-fought 21-13, 16-21, 21-17 victory after a gruelling 58-minute battle in the women's singles quarterfinal of the BWF Super 100 tournament.
