Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre inmate Matthew Piscopo threatened before alleged escape, court hears

A court has heard how a teenager allegedly escaped from a Victorian youth prison after he was threatened and asked to be moved from the facility.

Matthew Piscopo appeared in the Ballarat Magistrates Court via video link on Thursday, charged in relation to allegedly escaping Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre on August 6.
