Alan Hutton admits he is on the fence over a permanent move for Malik Tillman.
The on loan Bayern Munich man has been an ever-present for Rangers this season under both Giovanni van Bronckhorst and now Michael Beale with a decision looming on whether the Ibrox club will exercise the option in his loan agreement to make the transfer a permanent stay. It is a fee believed to be in the region of £5million.
Former Light Blues defender turned pundit Hutton believes if you are spending such a large sum of money - which he says is likely to be a large part of the summer transfer budget - you want to see a real leader within the team and he is yet to see that.

He told Football Insider: "It will be an interesting one to see what happens moving forward. They have got this £5m to buy him but I am a little bit on the fence.
“In flashes we have seen a lot of good, but I think he can get better. I also need to remind myself that he is still very young and he will improve and get better.
“So of course it will be a blow because he has been a mainstay. I think he has done well in periods but you just want to see it a little bit more.
“I think when you are spending £5m, which will probably be a large part of the budget, you want to see him really develop into a leader within the team. I am yet to see that but I can see there is a player there.“
