Malik Tillman Rangers transfer decision timeline revealed as he opens up on chat with Michael Beale

Malik Tillman will NOT rush into a decision over a permanent move to Rangers.

The USA international is currently on loan from Bayern Munich with the Light Blues holding the option to make his temporary move a full-time stay. Talks have taken place with Michael Beale who has told the 20-year-old to take his time over the big call. The American star has until next month to decide and will hold further talks with the Ibrox gaffer in the coming days.

The attacker was named PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year after an excellent campaign with Rangers. His season was brought to an unfortunate end after picking up a hamstring injury in the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic and he has not ruled anything out as he opened up on the timeline for a return to action that his parent club have set out.

On the latest on his future, he said: “I’ve spoken to Michael Beale already and he said: Just take your time. It’s your decision. That’s what I’m going to do.

“The option is until the beginning of June or something so I still have three or four weeks to decide. I’m going to take my time because obviously it’s a big decision for me.

“It is still everything open. I am going to talk to Michael Beale in the coming days and see what he is saying and what the club is saying.

“Then I am going to speak to Bayern again and see what is their plan for me. And then I am going to decide.”

Giving an injury return timeframe, he added: “Bayern told me the injury was 10 to 12 weeks. It’s going to be mid-July, so I can make the end pre-season with the team. That’s what I’m going to work for.”
