Rangers will have to 'spend more' than £5million if they are to sign Malik Tillman, according to reports.
The American joined on loan from Bayern Munich last season, shining despite a tumultuous season with 12 goals and five assists from midfield in just 43 games. With the loan agreement reportedly including a £5million future fee should Rangers with to take it up, fans have been dreaming of a return for the youngster which would be quite the capture for Michael Beale.
The Englishman has made his desires for such a move public, but a spanner has been thrown in the work by German outlet Kicker, which suggests Bayern have got cold feet over a potential move which could see Tillman leave. The report states that Bayern have now 'rejected' any move happening, despite the two teams coming together on a future fee.

They could still sell Tillman to Rangers, albeit that now seems to need more of a fee to persuade them, or another loan spell could be sanctioned.
Brighton and Burnley have been linked with a move for the youngster, with any deal now looking much more unlikely.
Rangers have already signed Todd Cantwell, Nicolas Raskin and Kieran Dowell as midfield options in the last six months, and any potential deal for Tillman would be the icing on the cake it seems - but Rangers may not have to turn to other deals instead.
