For Mali it means a first Afcon quarter-final in over a decade – not since 2013 in South Africa have they reached the last eight. A first final since 1972 isn’t out of the question though they will have to improve on this showing. The fitness of Amadou Haidara will be key, the RB Leipzig man having taken a couple of hefty whacks tonight.
