Male pedestrian, 60s, dead after being struck by lorry on Irish motorway as gardai close road

A male pedestrian has died after being struck by an articulated lorry in Co. Tipperary.

Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of the serious collision on the M8 motorway near Burncourt, Cahir, shortly after 3pm on Thursday.

The man aged in his 60s was seriously injured after he was struck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
