A male driver has been charged after a 73-year-old pedestrian died in Brisbane's north.
Police said officers responded to reports of a man trapped under a car at Northgate early on Wednesday morning.
The 73-year-old male pedestrian died at the scene.
Police said a 23-year-old man was the car's driver and sole occupant.
He has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.
He is set to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 19.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man has died after being hit by truck south of Brisbane on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the man was taken to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival after being hit by the vehicle at a Beenleigh business at about 2.30pm.
A 12-year-old pedestrian has also been taken to hospital after being struck by a van south of Brisbane on Wednesday afternoon.
The boy suffered serious injuries after being hit at a Capalaba intersection before 3pm, police said.
The van's driver - a 54-year-old woman - was not injured and is assisting police.
