Breast cancer is often associated with women, which is why men may overlook changes in their chest. But men can develop breast cancer too, and the first warning sign may be a firm lump near the nipple that does not hurt. Other changes, such as nipple discharge, inward turning of the nipple, or skin dimpling, can also need medical attention. Not every chest lump is cancer, but assuming it is harmless can delay diagnosis. Knowing what to look for can help men recognise unusual changes and seek medical advice without unnecessary fear.
