NEW DELHI: The two-time Olympian PV Sindhu advanced to the USD 420,000 Malaysia Masters final on Saturday after defeating Thailand's Busanan Ongbamrungphan in a thrilling comeback match in Kuala Lumpur.
In an 88-minute marathon semifinal match, world number 20 Busanan was defeated 13-21, 21-16, 21-12 by fifth seed Sindhu, who hasn't won a trophy in the last two years, as she moved closer to winning the BWF World Tour Super 500 title at the Axiata Arena.
