Group B in the Africa Cup of Nations wraps up on Tuesday afternoon.
Senegal, one of the favourites for the tournament outright, haven’t exactly lit the AFCON alight thus far but and do need to beat Malawi in order to guarantee progression into the next round.
Tournament football, of course, is rarely the most expansive but it’d be fair to say Senegal are yet to wholly convince. Granted, Covid problems on the eve of the tournament were an unwelcome development, but Aliou Cisse does need to let the handbrake off.
Indeed, a loss could well make things nervy should his team need to wait to see if they are one of the four best third-placed teams in the tournament.
Date, kick-off time and venue
The AFCON meeting is scheduled for a 4pm GMT kick-off time on Tuesday January 18, 2022.
The Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam will host.
