Malahide Castle and Gardens will host a haunted treasure trail to celebrate Halloween, inviting families to take part from October 29 to 31.
The venue will transform its already popular fairy trail for the occasion. Diabolical Dorothy’s Dreadful Brew will see the Castle’s resident witch seek the help of visitors to find her potion ingredients along the spooky trail.
Guests must keep their eyes peeled for clues as they venture through the mysterious trail and their efforts might even be rewarded with a special Halloween treat. Participants are encouraged to come in costume and will be provided with an interactive booklet and map which will help them uncover the clues along the route.

Pauline Matijasevich, Marketing and Communications Manager at Malahide Castle commented: "Diabolical Dorothy’s Dreadful Brew is a family-friendly, not-so-scary treasure trail for little and not so little ones. Halloween at Malahide Castle is always special, and we can’t wait for our brave trick or treaters to help our castle witch this year."
She added: "We will have the famous fairy trail completely transformed so children will be able to use their creativity and sense of adventure, while having plenty of fun. It allows families to spend quality time together this midterm and to fully immerse themselves in the magic and mayhem of Halloween."
The spooky family experience will take place from Saturday, October 29 until Bank Holiday Monday, October 31 from 11am until 6pm. Those interested are advised to pre-book in advance as spaces are limited.
