Makeup fans have been left in awe after trying out a mascara that can be purchased on Amazon for £5.49, as major Prime Day sales begin. Many customers have been pleased after buying the Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara, with thousands of glowing reviews online - including on TikTok.
One woman called Stacey, who goes by the username Queenofpreloved on the popular social media platform, showed fellow makeup lovers what her eyelashes looked like after putting one coat of the product on. "Guys, don't walk, run to Amazon, or wherever, and buy Essence mascara," she said.
"It's vegan, cruelty free and it's cheap and it's bloody amazing," she continued. "Look, I've put one coat of mascara on and I mean I am no makeup artist but I love me a good mascara. I am willing to pay £20 for mascara, £25 even.
"But I ordered this and that's a coat of this mascara. Also, I've bought more, more types, more styles." In the caption of the video, which has now been watched thousands of times, she adds how "astounded" she is that the 'cheap' mascara "is THIS good."
She also admitted she's "literally pressed that order button on five more." In the comment section JoJoBa asked: "Which Essence mascara is it?", to which Stacey replied: "Lash Princess Sculpted Volume." Lesley Ellis842 wrote: "That’s amazing." Kim Long said: "Essence have been my go to for years. Cannot beat cheap affective makeup."
The mascara is currently available on Amazon for £5.49 - reduced from £7.48. A description of the product reads: "The tapered sculpting brush creates unique shaped lashes looks. Everything is possible! Dramatic volume, sweeping eye look or defined, fanned eyelashes. Clean beauty, no parabens, perfume or alcohol."
So far on Amazon, the mascara has garnered more than 18,000 five star reviews. Ruby typed: "Might be my new fav mascara I'm in love. not clumpy at all very lovely and makes them nice and long." Gilly said: "The best mascara I have ever used."
Bev put: "I read a lot of reviews about this mascara and most were positive so thought I’d give it a try. Wow! I’ve never had such long and thick looking eyelashes since using this.
"It doesn’t take much applying to get my lashes done and looking fab. The only drawback is that it doesn’t stay put and does give me ‘panda’ eyes in the morning if I didn’t take it off at night. It definitely lasts during the day though."

However, Ash claims: "This smudged within an hour." And Scarlett added: "Did not hold curl, clumps at the end of lashes."
