Rangers have rejected an opening offer from Besiktas for Nico Raskin, with the Turkish club attempting to take the Belgian midfielder on loan.
Besiktas proposed a significant loan fee as they looked to strike a deal for Raskin, but Rangers have thrown out the initial approach.
The Rangers Review reports that it remains to be seen whether the Turkish side will return with an improved offer.
Besiktas have until Friday night to add to their squad for the Super Lig campaign, although they must submit their UEFA squad list on Wednesday ahead of their Europa League fixtures.

Raskin has attracted interest from a number of clubs this summer, with teams in England, Spain and Italy monitoring his situation. Those transfer windows closed on Tuesday without a move materialising, leaving Turkey and Saudi Arabia as potential remaining destinations.
The 25-year-old has remained involved under Derek McInnes since returning from the World Cup. He played in both legs of Rangers’ Europa League defeat to Jagiellonia Bialystok, started the Ibrox loss to Hibernian and most recently featured in the 5-1 win over St Mirren.
An ankle issue ruled him out of the first leg of the Conference League play-off against Jablonec. McInnes admitted on Tuesday that Raskin’s situation had moved on amid contact with prospective buyers, while praising his approach in training.
“Until an offer comes in that the club needs to consider, then Nico just has to, like every other player, knuckle down and train,” McInnes told Sky Sports. “He’s been brilliant.”
