The first phase of improvements works at Cadgers Brae Interchange will begin later this month.
Motorists are being warned to expected significant disruption along Inchyra Road, Beancross Road and the A9 from Monday March 21, when work to install permanent traffic lights on the Interchange begins.
There'll also be new road surfacing laid, along with the creation of better street lighting and improved facilities for pedestrians, cyclists, and other non-motorised users.
It's hoped it'll improve the flow of traffic through M9 Junction at Junction 5.
The second phase of improvements is proposed at the junction of the A9/Grandsable Road later this year, work there was suppose to begin in next month.
Leader of Falkirk Council, Cecil Meiklejohn, said: "Falkirk is investing in our future economy to enable growth, improve our competitiveness and create jobs.
"These works are just the start of a much wider programme of improvements to the local road network.
"We will see better traffic flow and a more seamless journey for pedestrians and cyclists."
