A major road is closed in both directions after police were called to an incident.
Merseyside Police received a report just before 10pm on Thursday, April 20, of an incident on Borough Road in Birkenhead, Wirral. Once officers arrived at the scene they put a police cordon in place between Whetstone Lane and Balls Road East.
At least seven police vehicles, including Matrix cars are at the scene. Pictures show an abandoned pedal bike on the pavement inside the cordon.
