A major new road network has been completed in Nottingham for a huge housing development. that's being built on the outskirts of the city. Major progress has been made at the Fairham site, near Gotham and Clifton, with a road infrastructure complete to support the 3,000 homes which will be built.
The new road network has been designed to create a signalled entrance into the 606-acre neighbourhood, Fairham. Work on the new infrastructure, located off Mill Hill Island, began in September 2022 and as of April 18 2023, the new road leading into Fairham known as ‘Fairham Way’ is complete.
The access to NET trams Clifton South Park and Ride, located off the A453, has also been improved. The access to and from the Clifton South tram Park & Ride remained open at all times to keep traffic flowing while works to create new earthworks, carriageway and signalisation took place.
