A new rule has come into place to help DVLA get through a backlog of driving licence applications.
Until now, drivers who had health conditions had to have a questionnaire filled out by a doctor, but now this is being extended to a wider range of healthcare professionals.
The rule came into force yesterday, as was introduced to speed up the medical licensing process amid a backlog of applications.
