A major crash has occurred on the M8 this morning, causing huge delays for commuters.
The collision took place at around 6.45am between J6 and J5 near Chapellhall in Lanarkshire.
Emergency services have rushed to the scene following the incident with police still in attendance.

The eastbound carriageway remains closed to all vehicles with drivers facing huge delay times. Traffic Scotland has warned travellers on the road to expect delays of around one hour and 16 minutes.
There are no reports of any injuries.
It comes following heavy snowfall and an amber weather warning by the Met Office.
